This was a fun easy going family that like most newborn parents had family going in and out during the session which was great when baby needed mommy time. They photographed with me too! It was FUN!

I had the pleasure of meeting baby “H” and her family on Saturday and photographing her at 11 days old. She was so sweet and tiny! Thanks for allowing me to capture this amazing new time in your lives!!!

A new direction for Little Pumpkins Photography in 2012…Ventura and Los Angeles county newborn photographer

I have been doing a lot of thinking about my business and what direction I want to go with it, and have decided that I will be focusing my business on a specific age range for the new year….I will now be photographing newborns to one year olds ONLY. I have always had such a calling for this particular type of session so I am making a change and going to change my business to this specialty portraiture. Their will be three portrait session types: The Newborn session (1-10 days old) , The Little Sitter session (as soon as baby can sit and not yet crawl) and the Big ONE…a 1 year old milestone session. I want to focus my energy on more specific session types to really provide quality images and service to my clients. The first year is such an amazing time in your new babies life and I would love to help document these milestones with portraits!!!!

The website will be slowly changing over to the new line of business. Thanks for all your support and I can’t wait to meet the under 1 year crowd! This should be fun!

This has been a very busy season with new baby and business and I am very grateful for both…I have taken tons of pictures but getting 5 mins to actually post them is a different story. Baby G is asleep right now and I am going to try my best to upload a few new images from around my house…

Lilly pad decorated for Christmas. I had to give her a piece of Tri Tip for this shot! LOL

“Noel” our Elf on the shelf…she stays quite busy getting into mischief at our house. This particular day she took a self portrait!

So there has been a lot going on with me the last few months and I really miss photographing clients. I hope to be back to booking sessions for the fall/Christmas season. Fall and Christmas sessions are my Fav! I am now 30.5 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and all is going well…We are very excited to meet our new baby! Here are some randonm pix I have taken lately that I thought would just be fun to share!

Miss M is 15 months old and gave me 4 very unplanned spur of the moment shots in my loft while I was watching her today. It was less than a minute and I love them and her!!

I hope everyone has a Happy Easter on Sunday with family and friends…

News and updates… Ventura county photographer

It’s been awhile since I last blogged and with good reason I promise. I am very excited to announce that my family will be a family of 4 this July as we are pregnant with baby #2 after 11 years of trying! We are told it’s a girl and we could not be any happier! I am taking a break from photographing new clients as I am on lighter duty with this miracle pregnancy. I am hoping to be booking sessions again by the fall/winter season in time for Holiday card portraits. I am taking some new clients on a case by case basis but we are pretty much going to take the time off to enjoy the miracle we have been given. We look forward to meeting this new baby!

Since I can’t post without a few pix here are a couple I took of my daughter the other day! She is 11 years old going on 30. She is growing up so fast and I had to capture her at this moment! She is our world and so excited about baby #2!

Let’s just say that this little guy earned his very adorable nickname that his mom called him during our session. We were trying very hard to get him and his twin sister together, but that’s not easy with one mobile baby and one not! This little man is so patient and darling! Hope you love your images K!
